One-to-one tuition (didactic way of learning)
Our courses are «one-to-one» courses, which means "private lesson student/teacher" or "personal-to
personal". Depending
on
the number
of lessons chosen and on your personal English
language level, your teacher will design an individual study
program
to meet your personal requirements.

Method (learning material/course books)
Depending the course and
accommodation chosen, the «one-to-one» effect is more or less intensive. It is certainly
most
effective
when
you live in your teacher's home. As a student you "must"
speak English all the time (please see point "leisure", too). If you
have
booked a
course with 25 or more
tuition hours a week (only Professionals Plus), you will work
with two different teachers.
During the lessons with your teacher, modern course books, cassettes and authentic material is used. Depending the course
and level you will
have to do some "homework", too.

Free time
During your stay in England,
your host family will make every effort to arrange sporting and cultural activities to
meet your interest in order to allow you to use the English language as often as possible.
You will learn a lot about the English people and their culture. You have also the possibility to visit interesting
places, castles, museums, pubs etc. with your host family. If you would like to
discover the country on your own, there is the possibility to rent a car.
Please ask for a quotation for leisure
activities such as horse riding, tennis, golf etc. or ask your teacher/host family in
England. |

Two teacher format
Channel offers two tutors as standard
on all intensive
courses. The 25 and
30 hour courses are divided between
morning and afternoon lessons, with
different tutor for each
session. Generally, one session is devoted to perfecting the
structural use of English , while the second lesson
concentrates on commercial and
business English |

Further Progress
No courses can guarantee to
teach you English in one or two weeks. However, if you are motivated, enjoy communicating
and
have a
reasonable aptitude for language, you should notice a measurable improvement on
your return home.
We hope that you will wish to continue your learning program after the course has ended.
To help you in this, you will have a
course ook for retention, together with other
material by arrangement.
On completion of your course, a Certificate of Attendance and Confidential Report is sent
to you or your Company. The Report
details
your effective progress in Grammar, Vocabulary,
Speaking, Listening and writing. It will also include recommendations for
further study.
